FOOD SERVICE AID: This position assembles and delivers healthy meals to Head Start/Early Head Start Centers in the designated area. Ability to lift and load food carriers from floor to van. Ability to maintain high level of daily repetitive motion with arms and hands. Ability to stand and walk for most of an eight (8) hour day. Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation. The qualified candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check, and a pre-employment physical. Pay rate is $8.46 per hour. This is a 10 month position.
CENTER ADMINISTRATOR: This position is with our Marysville Head Start/Early Head Start Center. The Center Administrator manages daily program operations and staff supervision. In coordination with component managers, provides overall center program leadership. Administers and implements policies and procedures at assigned site to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and State Licensing Regulations. Maintain quality environments with attention to safety and health prevention measures. Function as a liaison between central office leadership, staff and community collaborators. Assure active recruitment is occurring in the areas of the community that best reflects the program’s target population. Responsible for personnel issues, including but not limited to recommending hiring and terminating of center staff, staff conferences, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc. Conduct monthly staff meetings and individual meetings as needed. Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate center activities which may include evenings and weekends.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field plus a minimum of two (2) years experience in an early childhood education program with Supervisory experience. Experience in Step Up To Quality Rating System and Head Start preferred but not required. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance and a clean driving record for work related driving. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete background checks, and have a pre-employment physical. Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and have the ability to learn new systems. Ability to lift 45 pounds as needed. Strong organization and time management skills required. Salary range: $15.25 — $17.18 per hour. This is a 12 month position.
HOME VISITOR: This full time position with our Marysville Head Start program will provide in-home instruction as well as group socialization experience to parents and children which will enhance the parents’ ability to fill the role of primary nurturer of their child. Maintain on-going contact with families and work with all components (health, nutrition, family services, mental health, special services, parent education and resource/referral) to integrate services into the family setting. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state, and/or agency policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or in the process of obtaining). Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate family needs; may include some evening and weekend hours. Must have a valid Ohio Drivers’ License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statements and submit to a background check. Must complete a pre-employment physical and update as required. Salary range: $14.36 — $16.17/hour. This is a 10 month position.
ASSISTANT TEACHER: We have positions available at the following Head Start Centers: Newark and Marysville. Please specify location preference. This position at our is responsible to assist the classroom teacher in providing a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). To assist the classroom teacher in promoting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children. To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start children in the classroom and at home. To assist the classroom teacher with keeping accurate written notes to help develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.
The successful candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or licensure. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check and a pre-employment physical. Salary range: $9.35 — 12.31/hour. This is a 10 month position.
FAMILY SERVICE WORKER: This position is available with our Delaware Head Start/Early Head Start program. This position is responsible for coordinating, collaborating and facilitating the effective delivery of social services and parent involvement to Head Start children, families and staff in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations. This position operates as a liaison between classroom and home settings.
The qualified candidate will have a Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field. Preference will be given to applicants with a Social Work Certificate or Licensure. Applicant must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check, and a pre-employment physical. Salary range: $11.25 — $16.17/hour. This is a 12 month position.
FIELD TECHNICIAN: We have two (2) openings. This position with our Community Services Division is responsible to perform work on homes as outlined in the work order according to specific program standards. Complete any home repairs and weatherization as needed for each job. Perform general activities involving insulation, air sealing, glass and plexi-glass cutting, frame building, painting, and other duties as assigned. Perform general warehousing activities involving loading and unloading of vehicles, sorting and stocking of materials, equipment, and other related items. Must be able to climb ladders, work in tight quarters and unclean conditions at times. Must be able to stand for eight hours per day. Must be able and willing to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income elderly and/or minority clients.
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus experience and/or training in construction trade, home weatherization or related field. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance. Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement and complete various background checks. Salary range: $11.31 — $12.73/hour.
