We are currently accepting resume’s for the following positions:

HEALTH/NUTRITION MANAGER. This new position with our Head Start/Early Head Start Program is responsible for ensuring that the health and nutritional needs of all children are being met; ensures completion of follow-up on individual children as needed.  Provides related mandated Child Care Licensing trainings as required for staff.  Meets with parents/guardians as needed, especially for health exceptionalities, allergies and medication administrations.  Ensures newborn home visits are conducted on all Early Head Start babies and their mother. Ensures that CACFP documentation is completed, collected and input for the Ohio Department of Education.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and/or licensure in the nursing field with experience in pediatrics.  Preference will be given to applicants with an RN licensure.  Minimum two (2) years experience working with children ages zero through five.  Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement and submit a background check with the understanding that employment will not continue if checks reveal records that prohibit an employee from approval by state licensing and/or LEADS. Must complete a pre-employment physical and update as required.

EARLY HEAD START HOME VISITOR. This position with our Licking County Early Head Start program will provide in-home instruction as well as group socialization experience to parents and children (infants and toddlers) which will enhance the parents’ ability to fill the role of primary nurturer of their child.  Maintain on-going contact with families and work with all components (health, nutrition, family services, mental health, special services, parent education and resource/referral) to integrate services into the family setting.  Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state , and/or agency policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have  Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or in the process of obtaining).  Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate family needs; may include some evening and weekend hours.  Must have a valid Ohio Drivers’ License and provide proof of auto insurance.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statements and submit to a background check.  Must complete a pre-employment physical and update as required.

ENERGY AUDITOR. The Energy Auditor is part of our Community Services Division and provides assistance and counseling to the customers on ways to be more energy efficient.  Provides services to participants of the Energy partnership Programs.  Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income, elderly and/or minority clients.  Understand and apply the theory of adult learners by using effective teaching methods. Technically knowledgeable about: energy usage, house as a system thinking/application, technical benefits of measures’ installation.  Able to install electric base load measures or any other required program measures for customers.  Must have basic computer skills.

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Experience in the field of social work, humanities or related field with specialized training in basic adult education methodology a plus.  Must be willing to obtain training and certifications required by the Ohio Service Department Agency or LEADS.  Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance.  Must be able to sign a non conviction statement, and complete various background checks.

ASSISTANT TEACHER. We have vacancies at our Newark Center, Delaware Center and at the Marysville Center. When applying, please specify location.  This position is responsible to assist the classroom teacher in providing a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). To assist the classroom teacher in promoting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start children in the classroom and at home.  To assist the classroom teacher with keeping accurate written notes to help develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or licensure. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check and a pre-employment physical.
