We are currently accepting resume’s for the following positions:

CENTER ADMINISTRATOR. We have 2 positions available; one in our Marysville Center and the other serves our Utica and Buckeye Lake Centers.  Please specify location when applying. The Center Administrator manages daily program operations and staff supervision.  In coordination with component managers, provides overall center program leadership.  Administers and implements policies and procedures at assigned site to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and State Licensing Regulations.  Maintain quality environments with attention to safety and health prevention measures.  Function as a liaison between central office leadership, staff and community collaborators. Assure active recruitment is occurring in the areas of the community that best reflects the program’s target population. Responsible for personnel issues, including but not limited to recommending hiring and terminating of center staff, staff conferences, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc.  Conduct monthly staff meetings and individual meetings as needed. Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate center activities which may include evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field plus a minimum of two (2) years experience in an early childhood education program with Supervisory experience. Experience in Step Up To Quality Rating System and Head Start preferred but not required. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete background checks, and have a pre-employment physical. Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and have the ability to learn new systems.  Ability to lift 45 pounds as needed. Strong organization and time management skills required.

WEATHERIZATION TECHNICIAN. This position with our Community Services Division is responsible to perform work on homes as outlined in the work order according to specific program standards.  Complete any home repairs and weatherization as needed for each job.  Perform general activities involving insulation, air sealing, glass and plexi-glass cutting, frame building, painting, and other duties as assigned.  Perform general warehousing activities involving loading and unloading of vehicles, sorting and stocking of materials, equipment, and other related items. Must be able to clim ladders, work in tight quarters and unclean conditions at times.  Must be able to stand for eight hours per day.  Must be able and willig to work in all weather conditions.  Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income elderly and/or minority clients.

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus experience and/or training in construction trade, home weatherization or related field.  Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement and complete various background checks.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE.  This position with our Community Services Division, working at our Buckeye Lake and Newark locations, is responsible for collecting and verifying all required information; ensuring proper paperwork filled out by the customer for the services they are requesting while providing exceptional customer service.  Must be able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of low income, elderly and/or minority clients.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.  General knowledge of all basic office equipment such as copier, fax machine, calculator, etc.  basic math skills required.

The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus 1–2 years experience in a customer service environment.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Must have an aptitude and ability to learn multiple software applications used within the agency.  Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and provide proof of auto insurance.  Must be bale to sign a non-conviction statement and complete various background checks.

ASSISTANT TEACHER. This position at our Newark Center is responsible to assist the classroom teacher in providing a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). To assist the classroom teacher in promoting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of Head Start children.  To provide frequent contact with the families of the Head Start children in the classroom and at home.  To assist the classroom teacher with keeping accurate written notes to help develop individualized goals for the children, provide on-going assessment and successful transition into Kindergarten.

The successful candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.  Preference will be given to applicants with Pre-K certification or licensure. Applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record for work related driving.  Must be able to sign a non-conviction statement, complete a background check and a pre-employment physical.

TEACHER. This position is responsible to provide a safe and supervised educational setting for the children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area and field trips).
